Raise Money For Poor People To Buy Bread.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE bread. I eat it every day, and if I could, I would probably date it too. I have even tried getting it into the bedroom on numerous occasions, but The Girlfriend has never been too keen on that idea, so it hasn’t really worked out. What I’m basically saying is that it’s a very important part of my life, and something I probably couldn’t do without.

Bread: Something Shaun Probably Couldn't Do Without.
In Africa however, there are many people who don’t have bread, or any type of food for that matter, and this is where Breadline Africa and the Worldwide Blogger Bake Off comes into play. Breadline Africa is looking to create and fund a number of community kitchens, which will serve to feed poor and destitute people, as well as creating jobs and opportunities (I think this is called “sustainability”) so this isn’t your usual run-of-the-mill shitty charity where you just throw some money at a problem and then forget about it until next year vibe.
No, you will actually be making a real difference, which is a pretty cool feeling, a bit like when you find money in an old jacket, or when you manage to slip passed the sleepy night club doorman without having to pay.
As mentioned, you can read more about it over here, but to cut to the chase, you can make a simple donation by clicking here and filling in the form. Donating a R100 isn’t going to set you back ( well, it f**king shouldn’t - if it does then you should maybe read up on this guide to saving money) but otherwise any sort of donation would earn you some karma points, which you can cash in at a later stage.
Click on the banner below to make a donation.
If you’re a blogger, earn DOUBLE karma points by blogging about the initiative, and help get the message out there, like one of those busy-body aunties with curlers in their hair who enjoy nothing better than to sit on their stoep, and tell you about the comings and goings of everyone in the street.
Be the auntie. Spread the word. [I'm talking to you SheBee, Wogan, Sue etc.]

I is not auntie! But I’ll blog it anyway
Ta very much, Wogan May.
I am a Rhodes Journalism student doing a course on blogging. In Grahamstown you have only got to walk a hundred metres off campus to see first hand the poverty and hunger in the eyes of the streetkids. I joined the World wide Blogger Bake Off like you as I see it as a positive way to give a little something back. I think it is a fantastic idea. Have a look at my post of you like. Big ups on your blog!
