Prank Call To Julius Malema

January 21, 2009

Wackhead Simpson Plays Him For A One-Two

Julius Malema - Punk'd

Julius Malema - Punk'd

No real intro here, just click on the link below, as Darren “Wackhead” Simpson pretends to be Barack Obama’s aide and arranges a call with ANC Youth league president Julius Malema.

Listen carefully and prepare to cringe, it’s the type of dialogue that will make your toes curl up in embarrassment. Click on the link below.

If it doesn’t work (for whatever f**king reason), click here.

Yes, I think we were all rather entertained by that.

    …we were indeed :)

  2. AndrewGoldy January 21, 2009 6:40 pm

Dude… I am completely embarrassed … for Julius, for the ANC Youth League , for South Africa & her future! Eish!

  3. Zayin January 21, 2009 7:56 pm

What an orator. What a diplomat. What a fuckwit

  4. Shaun January 21, 2009 11:38 pm

Yeah, this was rather painful to listen to.

In his defense though, perhaps Julius Malema is a real charmer face to face?

  5. Ciak January 22, 2009 9:54 am

I just think he sounded suspicious – like he didn’t believe that was Obama. Prank callers give everyone a giggle, but think about how you would react under the same circumstance.

  6. Bronwyn January 22, 2009 2:50 pm

This is reflective of the ANC leadership. Just imagine, vote Zuma, and who knows Malema could be our next Minister of Foreign Affairs.

  7. Clara January 22, 2009 3:50 pm

    Ouch…

  8. Baldiloks January 22, 2009 4:18 pm

In his defense maybe he was just suprised, I mean wouldn’t you be if you got a call from Obama. I know you think it’s far fetched but think about it, this is Julius his got his head so far up his ass he would believe that he’d get call from Barrack. I don’t think this is a reflection on AND leadership but it certainly is a reflection on his intelligence or lack there of. If he doesn’t get that he’s an absolute idiot after this, you know what then nothing will.

  9. Porsh January 22, 2009 5:07 pm

I am ashamed to say the least. He is not a true representative of what SA’s youth stands for, I swear. How anyone could have put him in the position that he’s in, is beyond me.

  10. K January 22, 2009 5:37 pm

94.7 is a bunch of idiots…. You guys are worse than 12 year old…SIES!!!!

  11. Thibos January 22, 2009 5:39 pm

I think the President of the Young Lions won this one pants down.

These counter-revolutionary charlatans thought that by mentioning Obama’s name, therefore JM would get excited and feel honored by a call from the president of the Imperialists.

But, behold, it wasn’t like that. They are the ones’ with an intelligence of a 12-year old… sorry that would be an insult to 12-year olds. In fact they are stupid and without any moral compass.

Well done JM, there can only be one President, and that’s JZ.

Now, u faceless friends who give prank calls to satisfy your malevolence egos, please!!! Hands off our Leaders, we are busy trying to run an election campaign.

  12. DL January 22, 2009 8:19 pm

No ways, this is quite pathetic. The guy reacted exactly as many of us would have, to the nonsensical ramblings on the other end of the line. I think you guys need a lesson in “funny”! This does not qualify, its just a sad waste of time masquerading as something worthwhile.

  13. Pasu January 22, 2009 8:31 pm

Thibos…wake up and smell the coffee. “trying” to run an election campaign…(with more than 14 years of experience in the party? stop fooling yourself)……if you had chosen leaders with credibility….maybe you’d be less trying and more succeeding.

  14. soadfan January 22, 2009 8:51 pm

Haters… Settle yourselves down. Politicians deserve to have the mickey taken because they thrive on their own over-inflated egos. Thibos, if these are your leaders and you are inspired by them then that’s great. But I applaud 94.7 for a) creating humor, b) just general piss-taking and c) for making a concerted effort to show the knobs at the top that they are just that, knobs.

I dare say that if Whackhead ran for office I’d vote and I dare say he’d do a helluva better job than JZ ever dreamt he could do.

  15. Tsotsie Lekgoa January 22, 2009 9:15 pm

    EEEENCOMMPAHTENSE!

Heish moena! Daai lightie het jou gevang bru! Amper Jey dink jey praat met die Barackalas!! Howw! jey moet watch out!!

Moenie warrie ngamula, jy kan vloek by die TV, so next time Sjaia Tafool!!

    Hamba wena!
    Tsotsie Lekgoa!!

  16. Shaun January 22, 2009 9:22 pm

Mmm, I’m not so sure about Darren Simpson running for president. His eyes are too close together, which is usually a sign of someone being untrustworthy. (Fact)

Also, I can’t take someone who refers to himself as “Whackhead” very seriously.

It’s like me referring to myself as Shaun “Doos” Oakes. It doesn’t really fly.

  17. Fandacious January 22, 2009 9:56 pm

You went to marketing company and they came up with that for you, right?

  18. Shaun January 22, 2009 9:59 pm

Ja, I should get my money back for that effort.

  19. Vusi January 23, 2009 12:17 am

Good god! He’s a moron. An absolute moron. i wonder what Zuma would sound like in a prank call…

  20. Mpho January 23, 2009 7:50 am

    What an idiot!!!!!

  21. Baldiloks January 23, 2009 8:49 am

@ DL: No he did not react in a way that most of us would’ve. Firstly if I honestly believed that Barrack Obama had in fact called me and I was asked if I had a question for him, I can guarantee you NO would not have been my response. And if he did suspect fowl play why did he not question it?

With that said let’s not blow this thing out of proportion because it really was JUST A JOKE and he got played.Laugh it out, it’s funny. I’m sure his sitting there thinking ha ha they got me.

Whether or not his fit enough to be in a leadership position is debatable and I certainly don’t think that this is a reflection of South African youth or ANC leaders…

    Jeepiz guys really…

  22. greenmo January 23, 2009 8:57 am

    I’M REALLY SCARED
if AMEBA’s are chosen to lead the people…

this scared the black out of me…damm!

  23. fuck that January 23, 2009 9:00 am

I think 94.7 are incredibly naïve and fuckin’ adolescent to base JM’s intelligence judgment on a phone prank. Lots of people have been pranked before and that simply is not a reflection on their astuteness grow the fuck up

  24. Jay January 23, 2009 9:09 am

Thibos, try to run an election freely and without gangsterism, ‘coz I think u guys are just a bunch of tsotsis, trying to manipulate people into fearing your leaders

  25. MDZ January 23, 2009 9:19 am

I am just glad he did not sound excited.

  26. dealer January 23, 2009 9:25 am

You think this is him being a moron? Google his comments on Cape Talk where he states he will KILL anyone who gets in the way of HIS choice of president, then in the next voice goes on about democracy! then you get his mates saying it was taken out of context! this guy is thicker than wood.

  27. Ros January 23, 2009 9:31 am

Its unfair to our country to assume that he represents all our young people….just as Mr Zuma does not represent all Zulu men. I don’t like what Julius Malema stands for, but it is dangerous to ignore him, and hope that he will go away…because history has shown that bullies do become leaders! In the eyes of many of our people, the alternative was/is apartheid. Pre-1994 is past … but consequences remain. Instead of ridiculing, you could each pray for political maturity for these men because nothing else will change them. It may even change you and the form of bullying that you are now indulging in!

  28. imraan January 23, 2009 9:59 am

wackhead is funny sometimes, this is not one of them.
seems julius got them, got them to wait 10 minutes, undid their planned voice plays, they should take lessons from the call to republic vice nominee Sarah Palin
have stopped listening to highveld because mansfield is just not funny

  29. Obzino Latino January 23, 2009 10:38 am

you guys are simply racist hell-bent to prove that a black person’s mind particularly those associated with the ANC is below average and therefore not fit to determine our country’s destination – we expect that as this democratic change was never fallen onto us from heaven, we had to fight for it and we shall continue to defend it – no amount of redicule will derail us from that noble task. Just listen to how the host went yehhh, we got him attitude like a person who was simply desperate for a catch and not for newsworthy issue morons

  30. Obzino Latino January 23, 2009 10:43 am

Your forefathers applied the very same strategy of rediculing us as we fought fearlessly to bring about this change that you are now shitin on and you and your farthers still can’t even get it into your racist heads – the ANC has came this far to rule and this is not a joke but a reality you will have to live with for many more years to come

  31. oh shucks January 23, 2009 10:54 am

well what he really wanted to say was he’ mr obama we will take up arms and kill for jacob zuma ……obamas reply “u have lost ur way my brother………”

  32. Noma January 23, 2009 11:11 am

@ Obzino Latino, why must every thing be always be about race, the prank call is done on evryone & JM is not an exception.Wether he didnt believe B.A called him or not or the manner in which he reacetd is not relevent.but even the Mighty JM does use the loo,and when he is on his own he must have reacted he is human after all…I hope. he says silly things & before u pull the race card, even people in taxis, read Black compalin about him..any black uzalwa ngubani.I am a proud black & don’t have to constantly take sides for black or whites, but before anything else we all human beings & humour is part of life!!

  33. Slim Shady January 23, 2009 11:12 am

wackheads funniest prank to date!!!! definitely going to be the one to beat. The call proves alot and the fact that some people are getting so emotional and defensive proves somthing as well.

Wackhead I salute you for having the guts to do somthing like this knowing how many ignorant South Africans would react!!

    KFM breakfast rocks!!!!

  34. Obzino Latino January 23, 2009 12:04 pm

To so-called Noma, a racist musquandering as a black lady – Yes, our past is all about racial segregation & oppression and so is the legacy we are still facing today and going to have to face for many more years to come – so don’t come here and try and think with your emotions, but apply logic like you understand basic arithmatic. Its simply like this colonialism (racial) + apartheid (racial) = racial legacy and not “rainbow nation” as you would like to literally force us to understand, we are not fo*ools dude

  35. King2274 January 23, 2009 1:08 pm

that was classic man. ANCYL should realise the disaster they got themselves into by voting Mr. Malema into leadership. he is an embarrasment to himself, his family and to South Africa that our mothers and fathers fought for….

  36. Aunty B says behave January 23, 2009 1:16 pm

If this prank shows JM to be less than eloquent, it shows the other side up as complete idiots. Please note: there’s no way those dodgy, unnatural sounding soundclips would have fooled anyone into thinking they are dealing with BO himself…

  37. johnny nitro January 23, 2009 3:36 pm

and the fat lady goes waaaa! jesus christ guys what does his race have to do with him being an absolute plonker?!
@ obzino what are you talking about?! “you guys are simply racist hell-bent to prove that a black person’s mind particularly those associated with the ANC is below average and therefore not fit to determine our country’s destination” nelson mandela anyone?! one of if not the most beloved south african president we’ve had to date. so your stupid little rant about race is null and void. all they were proving is that the guy is an absolute idiot. and another thing, why is it hard to believe that noma could be a black lady?because she called JM an idiot?because she has her own opinion?oh ya clearly shes a fake, because she has developed independent thoughts.

@ fuck that, yes we can base his intelligence on that prank call, we have his school report card to back it up. the guy is a disgrace, and if you cant see that you are just as ignorant.

jesus christ people lets just accept that they got him, made him look like an absolute fool, and its funny. hardi hardi haaa

  38. Noma January 24, 2009 7:01 pm

At obzino, dude m as black as they cum.if u black tel me da date n time n we chat in zulu.yea racism is alive n wel n even us as blacks r prejudiced to each other i.e xenophobic attacks, dissing xitsonga speaking people.y must black people always feel the need to be seen as equal 2
whites? God created all men equal, if u feel u constantly hav 2 defend that ur intelligence is equal to that of whites then clearly u believe u inferior. Nitro u on point. It was just that,a joke!

  39. Muzimbva Nakatshito February 3, 2009 10:35 am

This is definetly a racial matter, and this must be taken further.

  40. Julius Malema February 3, 2009 12:09 pm

    Eish!

  41. alistair February 3, 2009 3:24 pm

It was done real bad, Obama sounded like a fucking retard.

  42. ntaka February 6, 2009 2:25 pm

Lets face the facts, JM is a fool n please 2 all my black brothers lets stop defending stupidity by race. Race has nothing 2 do with de response of JM. the guy is a moron uneducated just like JZ and I wonder where is south africa heading if we have this kind of leaders and our people still defending them.

  43. Sipho March 10, 2009 9:08 am

hi you Guys in the 702 Studios,i think you lack appreciation and you always like to win and discredit the young man.Let me advise you you did not win but you all turned to be less intelligent.

You must all go back to University for maturity.

  44. Yogs March 10, 2009 9:38 am

My goodness, all of us should just dig holes and bury ourselves … its an utter embarrassment having this Moron as leader of ANYTHING!!! i understand him being Youth leader though, as he will be stuck in the Age 4 phase for the rest of his life…

  45. Vernon Wolf March 26, 2009 1:37 pm

Muzimbva Nakatshito… HA HA… a racila matter indeed… take further where? back to school maybe as JM is as thick as pig shit!

  46. number number April 20, 2009 5:53 pm

that call does not suggest that our president is intellectually impaired,he stood his ground and was never intoxicated by the call.the B.O(whackhead) was stupid cos he never made sense

  47. Bass Spike April 21, 2009 4:11 pm

First of all it was a joke and I think it was a great joke…as far as I know all racism ended in 1994 when Nelson Mandela became South Africa’s first black president and yes Nelson did one hell of a good job…

Now all we have is a bunch of idiotic yahoos who is on a power trip and like to help them self with what they need??? I believe work for what you want and don’t just take, the whole thing was a joke, yes I agree people are different from one another and some will laugh and some will not…my question are as follows: WHY IN THE BLUE LIVING HELL DO WE ALWAYS NEED TO BRING RACISM INTO THE CONVERSATION TO DEFEND BLACK PEOPLE WHO ARE IN FACT IDIOTS???

  48. Phaahla May 27, 2009 3:58 pm

Cde Malema is my president and president of most youth in Azania.we dont need any media approval to respect him.he delivered what we wanted,Zuma presidency so sorry

  49. Decibels July 27, 2009 8:59 pm

What a dumb clip by a dumb Breakfast Show. How is this clip a measure of his intelligence. Was he supposed to jump up and
down because he got a call from Obama? How many people has Wackhead pranked before were they all labelled as idiots.
You blogging bunch of whining hippocrites will never succeed as a Youth not even belonging to the YL I’m proud to say Malema is my Leader.
    Hands Off President Malema…Hands Off

  50. G August 14, 2009 6:03 pm

    ciak, blow me you twat

  51. mia August 28, 2009 7:37 pm

I don’t think that this is a true test of his intelligence. His public statements on pretty much every topic is a much better indication of his intelligence.

On the other hand, the clip is not funny. If you want to play a prank, at least give the audience something to listen to.

  52. john October 7, 2009 2:38 am

    @Obzino Latino
    ha ha ha…
Wow did you actually say that my forefathers prank-called your forefather? Well the didn’t and you must admit that some leaders are incompetent, no matter how bad Apartheid was it doesn’t mean that just anyone who talks well can become a leader, character needsto come into question.

  53. Bruce December 15, 2009 7:25 pm

The strategy you used in that interview is truly not cool. Entrapping someone into sounding like a clown won’t help them to grow up.

It’s easy to have a sense of humour failure about Julius. At 28 he behaves like a 14 year old which is sad.

Making him look like a 14 year old is not clever, it’s just racist. Julius is being a fool all on his own, why debase yourselves by descending to that level? That was a silly, superfical prank.

  54. La Shame December 16, 2009 7:58 pm

I’ve just listened to the clip and it Malema does not sound dumb and he did not get over excited. Big up Julius you showed you could hear nonsense

  55. La Shame December 16, 2009 8:02 pm

What is it that makes you think he sounds stupid because I listened to the same clip and he did not sound stupid in fact he sounded like a no nonsense person, typical of a leader?

  56. Jerome Aprils Molefe March 3, 2010 2:15 pm

    Eish!!!!! ..Bana!!!what a dumb retard,he is like a turd that won’t flush.
    Make his life hell…
Too old for the Youth League and too dumb for a real job.
We laugh at you Julius Malema – Our brother in SHAME…

  57. Fade -> above the president March 12, 2010 8:56 pm

He is the biggest fucking dipshit in the entire world and deserves death for how he discriminates! the anc have had their chance, now i think its time for the DA to take over and fix this corrupted country back to its former greatness. if this cause is not worth fighting for then you might as well kill me!

  58. Fade -> above the president March 12, 2010 9:02 pm

and just one more thing he is a braindead moron, he can’t make a statement for instance when he was asked about suicide: “Suicide? eish, i would never do that disgusting thing, id rather kill myself” WOW! your leader is so fucking smart! HE IS A DIPSHIT!!!

  59. gielie March 15, 2010 8:30 pm

Now, Julius, big mouth, Malema want’s to shoot the Boere! How about an old cape duel in the early morning mist,15 steps, one bullet! Hell knows, I’ ll volunteer!

  60. Da Forf Wors March 19, 2010 8:03 pm

We arr gonna make da sosage of yuu juliez.

  63. MXOLISI ZWANE March 27, 2010 1:10 pm

As the member of ANCYL and ANC Malema must stop to speak with alliance partners like they are fools even if is based on principle matters .We must unite the tripatite alliance we do not need power mongers we are the revolutions .THE ANC IS BIGGER THAN US WE MUST RESPECT IT we do not need personal vandetas and stop for lobbing for MBALULA the time will arrive to lob Amandla .I full support Gwede Manteshe as secretary of the organization now we must respect him and the ongress will speak we do not need such individual who will divide the ANC at grond level equally at national level I support in your accussations everyone can be rich if you work hard

  64. Ella March 31, 2010 1:32 pm

    MADIBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where are you??????

  65. Natalie April 4, 2010 10:47 am

LOL! What great South African representatives we have!I feel like spitting on my passport and sh£$%^& on the floor to be honest.
You would think that people would actually do some reading, research and consult with people who knows much about politics before actually having an opinoin on politics.

  66. max April 9, 2010 2:13 pm

We are sorry that our ancestors were intelligent, advanced and
daring enough to explore the wild oceans to discover new countries
    and develop them.
We are sorry that those who came before us took you out of the
bush and taught you that there was more to life than beating drums,
killing each other and chasing animals with sticks and stones.
We are sorry that they planned, funded and developed roads,
towns, mines, factories, airports and harbours, all of which you now
claim to be your long deprived inheritance giving you every right to
change and rename these at your discretion.
We are sorry that our parents taught us the value of small but
strong families, to not breed like rabbits and end up as underfed,
diseased, illiterate shack dwellers living in poverty.
We are sorry that when the evil apartheid government provided
you with schools, you decided they’d look better without windows
    or in piles of ashes.
We happily gave up those bad days of getting spanked in our all
white Schools for doing something wrong, and much prefer these
days of freedom where problems can be resolved with knives and guns.
We are sorry that it is hard to shake off the bitterness of the
past when you keep on raping, torturing and killing our friends and
family members, and then hide behind the fence of ‘human rights’
    with smiles on your faces.
We are sorry that we do not trust the government… We have no
reason to be so suspicious because none of these poor “hard working
intellectuals” have ever been involved in any form of “corruption or
    irregularities”.
We are sorry that we do not trust the police force and, even
though they have openly admitted that they have lost the war against crime
and criminals, we should not be negative and just ignore their
corruption and carry on hoping for the best.
We are sorry that it is more important to you to have players of
colour in our national teams than winning games and promoting
    patriotism.
We know that sponsorship doesn’t depend on a team’s success.
We are sorry that our border posts have been flung open and now
left you competing for jobs against illegal immigrants from our
    beautiful neighbouring countries.
All of them countries that have grown into economic powerhouses
    after kicking out the ’settlers’.
We are sorry that we don’t believe in witchcraft, beet root and
garlic cures, urinating on street corners, virginity testing, slaughtering
of bulls in our back yards, trading women for cattle and other
    barbaric practices.
Maybe we just grew up differently.
We are sorry that your medical care, water supplies, roads,
railways and electricity supplies are going down the toilet because
skilled people who could have planned for and resolved these issues
had to be thrown away because they were of the wrong ethnic
background and now have to work in foreign countries where their
    skills are highly appreciated.
We are so sorry that we’d like this country to fulfil its potential so
we can once again be proud South Africans.

    The Previously Advantaged
PS In the old regime… we had lights and water
