No, I don’t Want Your Money.

Just want some of your time… and no, I’m not going to bore you with a long story before I get to asking you for what I want, but just so you know, I’m not a criminal, I’m not a rubbish, I don’t take drugs etc.

Seriously though, it was recently brought to my attention by the midget boy band I manage (who are going to be MASSIVE by the way, look out for them soon) that the SA Blog Award Nominations are open.

Much like my love-making technique, I’ve been pretty unresponsive and frigid at first, but now that it’s coming towards the end (nominations close on the 14 March), I’m looking for that explosive finish The Girlfriend is so familiar with.

So here’s the thing, I’ve broken it down for you in 3 easy steps:

1) Click on the banner on your right (which would be my left, as I am of course IN the computer). It looks like an army dog tag and it says “2009 South African Blog Awards” on it. You can’t miss it.

2) You will then be taken to another page, and on it you will see the message “Thank you, you have nominated www.shaunoakes.com“. YOU ARE NOT FINISHED YET HOWEVER.

3) Scroll down to the bottom of the page, put in your email address, and type in the security code. Hit the “Submit” button. They will then send you an email asking you if you’re sure that you wanted to do that. Of course you are sure, so when it comes, click on the link they give you.

And that’s it.

I made it sooooo easy for you, you would then have nominated me for SA Blog Award of the Year, Most Humorous Blog, and Best Original Writing.

Doing this will fill you with a warm feeling, like when you give a pair of shoes to that barefooted street kid who hangs around the Gardens Engen in Cape Town, and who INSISTS on wearing a tweed jacket during Summer.
